I spent most of my life in New Jersey until 2013, when my wife and I moved to Boulder, Colorado. Here, living along the foothills of the Rockies, I have felt a kind of creative freedom that I had never felt before.
In my paintings I play with planning and chance—and all the problem-solving and sense-making that comes in between. Bold and daring colors drive me, but so does subtlety: hints of movement, traces of color, revealing themselves in layers upon layers.
